Only had around 80 km on the new bike that was purchased last autumn when heading south on a street oriented trip so took the old 950.
Going to some gravel meeting in Boden, Sweden this weekend so needed to get the 990R ready for a service so did two rides to get some mileage on it.
First day a friend borrowed the XR400 and we did some local trails and gravel roads:
Next day it was a longer trip with another friend on a Honda XR650R.
Went by the pillar in out in the middle of a river from the old abandoned ore hauling cable carrier:
Stairs inside, this time we climbed them:
View from up top:
Did not climb the last section, see the last bar broken?
It is quite high:
Have been up on this before, also part of the old cable cart ore hauler were it passed over the railroad, railroad still in use just relocated:
Recorded some video a couple of years ago from along the old tramway:
Some tree, barely could squeeze the 990 under it:
Had to transfer some fuel into the XR since the gas station we aimed for was out of operation:
After that is was time for a first oil change:
Engine plug:
Oil tank plug:
Oil tank screen:
Engine screen:
Also seems like the carbon fibre heat shield is not up to the task, burnt and kind of melting:
Now Im just wondering if I need to spoon on a new TKC80 or go with the slightly used Terraflex for this weekends gravel event?
